On Wednesday 11th November, new kids on the block Kricket at POP Brixton will be celebrating Diwali, the ancient Hindu Festival of Light, with a special three course dinner.
Chef Will Bowlby has designed a menu showcasing his Indian cooking practice using British ingredients, with the centerpiece being the Goat Raan, an Indian delicacy saved for special occasions. The three course meal will also include a Masala Chai welcome cocktail and a selection of Kricket’s infamous Indian street food such as Bhel Puri with raw mango, sev, yogurt, and Samphire Pakoras with wild garlic mayonnaise, date and tamarind chutney. For sweets, try the delicious Gulab Jamum with carom seed crumble and clotted cream.
That’s not all for the evening as British-born artist Rupert Newman has designed a bespoke projection, transforming the event space at POP Brixton with abstract colour and light to applaud the biggest and brightest festival of the year.
Tickets cost £35 for 3 courses and a welcome cocktail. To purchase, click here.
