The One with the Valentine’s Day Round-Up

Love it or hate it, Valentine’s is coming and there’s no escaping it – if you plan on stepping outdoors, that is.

We’ve rounded up some of the capital’s best offerings this V-Day from luxurious trips away to the terrific duo of tacos and tequila. It’s not too late to whisk the apple of your eye of their feet so let us give you a helping hand…

THE LUXURIOUS ONE

Make your Valentine’s Day weekend a memorable one with the Goodwood Estate

GoodwoodCars031

Start the day in style by chartering a helicopter from the centre of London to the Goodwood Estate. Witness the stunning views below as the landscapes transform from skyscrapers and monuments, into the rolling green landscape of West Sussex. As you touch down, a BMW 4×4 vehicle will be waiting for you at the Goodwood Aerodrome, ready for your next exhilarating experience together. A professional driving instructor will guide you on a unique off-road journey to discover the 12,000 acres of woodland on the Estate, rich in history and nature. A visit to the exclusive Butler’s Rest provides a romantic interlude, where you can be served either elevenses or afternoon tea by a Goodwood butler.

After an active afternoon, head to the spa to unwind with a selection of treatments. Using natural products, you and your partner can rejuvenate with a range of holistic therapies.

For the most elegant ending to your Valentines Day, you and your partner can dine privately in the decadence of Goodwood House. Enjoy a four course meal served by your own waiter using fresh ingredients that have been locally sourced from the estate. Choose from an extensive menu, which includes starters such as Estate beef carpaccio with roasted artichokes in a rosemary emulsion and mains such as Goodwood pheasant breast with Estate bacon, chestnuts, roasted garlic and brandy. Finish with a dessert such as the Levindown and fig cheesecake with port-roasted figs and vanilla snow.

After desserts and night caps, depart Goodwood in the same way you arrived with a helicopter ride back to London through the night sky. For those wanting to prolong their stay, retire to one of the luxurious rooms at the Goodwood Hotel for a comfortable night’s sleep.
